Waist has a nice small elastic band which doesn't cut into your stomach so you don't get the mushroom look. Side pockets hold a phone. The stitching on the side leg is flattering for a fuller figure. Wool is not itchy, but a supper soft but supportive fabric. These are not like wearing long johns which stretch when worn. These kept their shape everywhere. No intent in the knee or rear. It's like wearing a light weight (but not see through) yoga pant. Wore them doing yard work in WI north woods all weekend in 50's with rain. Never got cold and they seemed to resist the light rain. 5'6" 180 with a full bottom. XL fit perfectly.I knew these would be a squat test fail due to other reviews. I still wanted them because I love the merino properties and want my base layer tights to have pockets! These are 95% merino so I am keeping them. However, I wish they stayed up better. They slide down and have to be hiked up about every couple minutes. If wearing pants over them it’s not a big deal. But I wear them around the house a lot and out with a tunic over, so I wish they stayed up better. I do have a smaller waist and large saddlebags/hips/derrière, but the large puckered a lot and medium is my usual size and felt/looked the best. If your body type is more even/straight I would bet they wouldn’t get pulled down so much.Unless I got a faulty pair? They fit amazing, so comfy. They come up to my belly button, but unfortunately I'm returning as they are see through. Cannot be worn alone, as a base layer sure but careful what color underwear you have on. REturning.Deep sea in the image looks like a dark teal color. I was disappointed that I got a blue jean/grayish blue color that doesnot match the image or color shown for deep seaI would say the Woolly Clothing 7/8ths Pocket Leggings are true to size. I went on Woolly’s site for their size chart. Medium is size 6-8, 30-inch waist, 28-inch inseam. I am 5’5”, 30-31 inch waist. The size medium leggings fit me comfortably. Snug without being too tight, and the waist is a good fit. The waistband stays in place, no rolling or sliding down. The waistband is high, it comes over my navel. The whole waistband is not elastic, only the top ½ inch. The rest of the waist is the same as the rest of the leggings. I don’t love the waist, but I’m really picky about how high-waisted items fit and feel against my skin, so that’s a me thing. Fortunately, the waistband also stays in place if you push it down.On me, the leggings cover my ankle. I tried to measure the inseam with them on and measured approximately 29 inches, so I think they will be “normal” length if you’re short or average height.I really like the big pockets! The pockets aren’t bulky but fit my gigantic Note 20 Ultra with ease. The pockets do not have a closure. The pockets are part of the design panel running down the outside of the legs, I like how the design looks. It’s slimming.I have the black color, I did notice a little transparency when the material was stretched. When I put the leggings on or did squats. For normal walking and lounging about, they are opaque. The leggings aren’t scratchy in the slightest. They’re like wearing a warm, cozy hug on your legs. The wool doesn’t hold odors and washes well. There are no tags (which I love!) so the care information is printed on the inside back: wash inside out, cold with like colors, tumble dry low.I am an outdoorsy person and a big fan of merino wool for its moisture wicking properties. It's an upgrade from synthetics in that merino wool doesn't hold onto body odor and contribute to micro-plastics.I have several pieces from Woolly and have been happy with all of them. These leggings are the same great quality that I have come to expect from the Woolly brand. These are made of 95% merino wool with 5% elastane. These leggings feel very soft with a nice weight and stretch, not at all itchy.I chose the "Deep Sea" color and it's a really beautiful dark blue that is well represented in the description photos. Woolly tends to have some really unique and beautiful color offerings. For reference, I am 5'5" tall 108 lbs with a straight body shape and long limbs with a short torso. After glancing at the size chart on the Woolly website, I ordered the XS (the same size I've ordered from all the Woolly pieces I own). These leggings fit well and I would say they are true-to-size. I appreciate the high rise with a nice thick waistband, it doesn’t roll or slide down. The 7/8 length gives these a nice flattering silhouette.I'm really happy with these leggings from Woolly and highly recommend them, as well as the Woolly brand in general! The Wooly yoga pants are incredibly soft with a really great hand feel. There is an extra band of elastic to keep them up. The size fit as expected and the measurements above are for a size large. The cut and design is similar to other fitted yoga pants. The pockets are generous but not baggy and are useful for keys/cards and even larger phones. The outseam length is 36 and the inseam length is 26 so 7/8 is relative to leg length. The only real negative to these pants is how sheer they are. The charcoal are VERY sheer. The price of these pants is in line with other similar Merino wool blends and the overall quality matches the price point.First off wearing these pants for me took a bit of getting used to. I’ll be honest I felt naked. The pants are stunning but after a few washes they seemed to be showing mild signs of wear and pilling would be coming over the next few washes.I washed them inside-out and on the delicate wash cycle air drying each time. They are definitely LUXE and wear similar to other brands. I wouldn’t say I was particularly wowed by them but after a few wears I will say I love them. I purchased a size larger so they would be looser.
